The game should be playable now as long as you launch it from the start menu folder. It should want to download in your start menu folder by default, this is good Make sure you click on *INSTALL EVERYTHING* find the application file simply titled "setup", it should be 70kb.Ī download bar should appear, it might be frozen on 100% for a bit, but a big screen should pop up saying "Deer Hunter Monster Buck 4 Pack".
Now click on the downloaded cd file of deer hunter monster buck 4 pack you got from abandonware. Next you need the "Monster Buck 4 Pack" expansion for Deer Hunter from Abandonware: just click the big "DOWNLOAD" button and select the monster buck 4 pack, for some reason this version works but the vanilla version does not. I was able to get the game working without an original CD, here is how, and its honestly not that complicated as it may seem, if I can do it so can you. I doubt many people if any care, but I actually figured out how to get the original Deer Hunter from 1997 to work on windows 10.
